How to Override Incoming or Outgoing Token Values in NODE40 Balance
This help document will outline the process of overriding the value of an incoming or outgoing cryptocurrency transaction within a ledger on NODE40 Balance.
Step 1. Navigate to the appropriate transaction and click the carrot icon [>] to expand the transaction down, so that the transaction details are displayed.
Step 2. In the middle of the page, you will see "Outgoing Value" if the transaction is sent and "Incoming Value" if the transaction is received. There will also be a “Value per [token]” box as well. The value provided by the system can be overridden if you prefer to use a different value. Replace the existing value in this box with the value you would like to use. As you modify the value in one box, the value in the other respective box will automatically adjust.
Step 3. Provide an "Override reason" and click "save". The reason is optional, although we do recommend using this function, for future reference as well as for auditing purposes. If you decide to leave the reason blank, you must still press "save" for the value to be stored.
NOTE: Once you have saved the new value, you can click "RESTORE CALCULATED BASIS" at any time if you wish to revert back to the value originally provided by the system.
