Help With Quickbooks Online (QBO)

NODE40 connects seamlessly to your QuickBooks Online account. This support document will outline all of the steps necessary to successfully sync your NODE40 transactions to your QBO account.

In this Section:

Connecting your QuickBooks Online Account to NODE40

  1. Navigate to your Portfolio Settings in NODE40:

  2. On the left hand side of the Settings Menu, select QuickBooks Online and then click the green button to connect it to your QuickBooks Online account as shown:

  3. Once your NODE40 account is successfully connected to QBO it will show as “connected” in this section.

Organizing Your Transactions for Syncing

Now that your NODE40 account is connected to your QBO account, you will need to:

  1. Organize your NODE40 transactions by tagging them [How to Tag Transactions in NODE40]

  2. Once all transactions have been tagged, now it is time to create and add them into Tag Groups [How to Create Tag Groups in NODE40] that correspond with your accounts in QuickBooks [Help with QBO Chart of Accounts].

  3. Once your transactions have been tagged and added to tag groups, navigate to the “Token Accounts” tab and follow this support document to map your NODE40 Token Accounts in QBO: Mapping NODE40 Token Accounts in QuickBooks

  4. Next, you will need to go to the Account Mappings tab to create a mapping between your account(s) in your QuickBooks Online chart of accounts and your NODE40 Balance tag groups.

    1. If needed, navigate to the “Default Accounts” tab to Map the default QuickBooks Online accounts transaction fees and gains/losses are recorded in to ensure they are categorized correctly. (This can also be done individually in the Account Mappings tab.)

  5. Once all transactions have been organized and your tokens and accounts have been mapped, you are ready for your NODE40 data to be synced to QBO. Navigate to the “Sync” tab and check the “I am ready to sync…” box and click “Sync Now”.

NOTE: There is no “undo” option once your NODE40 data is synced to QBO. If you would like to start over, or re-set your mappings, please reach out to your NODE40 account manager for assistance.
