How to Generate an API key on Coinbase Prime and Add it to NODE40 Balance
IMPORTANT
You can only create an API key if you have one of the following roles on Coinbase Prime: Administrator, Initiator, Authorized Signatory, or Full Trader. Learn more about authorized user roles and permissions and how to update them on your Coinbase Prime account.
To create an API key:
On the lower-left corner of the page, click the Gear settings icon.
Click APIs.
Next to Activated Keys, click Create API Key.
In the pop-up window, enter the API Name, Access Type (READ-ONLY), and Expiration Date (Select “NONE” if allowed).
Click Continue.
Verify your identity with YubiKey.
Consensus approvals
This action requires consensus approvals. You can't continue to the next step until consensus approvals are met. Learn more about security settings on Coinbase Prime.
Under Pending Keys, find your API Key.
Click Activate Key.
Review details in the pop-up window then click Activate API key.

To Add Key to NODE40:
Click +New Source and select “Coinbase Prime”.
After following the steps above, enter your API key, secret key and passphrase in the CONNECT WITH COINBASE PRIME boxes and click “save”. Your import should begin shortly.
FIFO is the default accounting method on NODE40 Balance. If you wish to change this setting, please refer to this support document for instructions.
Accounting strategy settings must be customized individually for an exchange when a strategy other than FIFO is preferred. This setting is FIFO by default, but after adding valid API keys, can be adjusted by activating the advanced options before initiating a new import.
The accounting strategy setting must be chosen BEFORE the data has been uploaded to the user's account. The setting cannot be changed once the data has been uploaded. If you would like the data to reflect a different strategy, you will must delete any existing ledgers, change the setting using the steps below, and re-upload.
